Henrik Mestad

Open-eyed and very talented Norwegian actor with a gift for portraying stripped-down characters while maintaining both integrity and authenticity. Mestad had minor roles in Norwegian films during the 1980s, notably Adjø Solidaritet, before joining Nationaltheatret in the early 1990s after graduating from Teaterhøgskolen. Over the following years, he appeared in an abundance of play there. And in 2006, he made a potent big-screen breakthrough with roles in three major productions, including a magnificent turn as the pedophile Hans in Erik Richter Strand's Sønner, for which he won the Norwegian Amanda Award for Best Supporting Actor.
