John Travolta
FILMOGRAPHY (ONLY REVIEWED ENTRIES)
John Travolta first broke through as a dancer – and a remarkably gifted one – landing musical roles in late 1970s hits such as Saturday Night Fever and Grease. After a brilliant turn in Brian de Palma's superb Blow Out (1981), his career declined gradually through the 1980s, before a stylish, self-aware performance as Vincent Vega in Quentin Tarantino's megahit Pulp Fiction catapulted him back into the spotlight. During the following decade or so, Travolta remained one of Hollywood's most bankable stars – occasionally also delivering heartfelt performances amid more commercial fare.
