Review

Mushy romance meets high-flown fantasy elements in this Jon Turteltaub movie, which is completely enamoured with itself. The concept may seem fascinating at first glance, but chances are you'll cringe more than you'll be inspired. It's all a little too religious and metaphysical for us ordinary pragmatists/cynics. There's fine acting to enjoy, however, none better than the veteran Robert Duvall.
