BIO

This tall, rugged, and extremely prolific character actor broke through in the early 1970s with serious, sincere youthful roles in critically acclaimed films like The Last Picture Show and The Last Detail. Quaid then gradually shifted towards more comedic turns, nearly typecasting himself in dimwitted, unchallenging roles (notably in the National Lampoon films) during the 1980s, before reviving his career in the 1990s with a series of strong performances – both dramatic and comedic.
