This tall, intense performer first came to my attention through his majestically powerful performance in John Singleton's brilliant Higher Learning. Rapaport has a remarkable talent for bringing force and expressiveness to characters under tension and pressure. The red-headed New Yorker had an impressive start to his career, landing a number of key roles in the early '90s in films such as True Romance, Poetic Justice, and Beautiful Girls. Although he hasn't always found himself in the widest variety of roles, Rapaport seldom delivers subpar work and has maintained a strong, consistent career. He remains one of the most capable character actors of his generation.
