Clive Owen
FILMOGRAPHY (ONLY REVIEWED ENTRIES)
Handsome, manful British performer who made a massive entry onto the international film scene in the early 2000s, appearing in a number of high-profile films and quickly establishing himself as one of the most sought-after character actors in the 'borderline good/bad guy' category. Before that, he had appeared in an array of British television and film productions throughout the 1990s, often in daring and unconventional roles, such as in Bent (1997) and Croupier (1998). Around the same time, he found success with the play Closer on the London stage, which led veteran director Mike Nichols cast Owen in one of the roles for his film adaptation of Closer in 2004. By then, Owen had progressed through supporting roles in Robert Altman's Gosford Park and The Bourne Identity, becoming something of Hollywood's next British darling.
