Review

The basic premise is good; it may remind modern viewers of the Covid-19 debacle. There are also other positives, such as an intriguing European setting, solid production values, and a seemingly eclectic cast. And then all the problems start pouring in. As the disease starts spreading across the train, the film for some reason becomes a dud of overwhelming sentimentality, bloated music, and dubious direction by George P. Cosmatos (Massacre in Rome, Cobra). If you’re able to wait for the final set-piece, you may get some good old miniature enjoyment.
