BIO

Classically beautiful and highly versatile British actress whose range and expressiveness have helped her gradually reach the higher echelons of the movie industry. She started out in supporting roles but quickly secured parts in high-profile and critically acclaimed period dramas, such as The Libertine, Pride and Prejudice, and later An Education. She delivered solid work in two independent productions in 2010, the American Barney's Version and the British Made in Dagenham, before starring in the blockbusters Jack Reacher and Wrath of the Titans in 2012. In 2015, she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress by most of the major associations for her role as the girl who is gone in Ben Affleck's Gone Girl. Her best work to date, however, was arguably when she starred opposite Christian Bale in Scott Cooper's stirring western Hostiles in 2017.
