Review
Tillsammans is
Lukas Moodysson's follow-up to his wonderful debut Fucking
Åmål, and it captures the same positive warmth, albeit
in a slightly more quirky fashion. The movie is basically a spoof on 70s
hippie, flower-power communities, and it delivers its satire with
humorous affection. Moodysson's dialogue is, here as in Fucking
Åmål, brilliantly smooth and his characterizations will
relate to anyone growing up in the seventies. Tillsammans blends
its wit and satire with a knack for the dramatic, best exemplified in a
beautifully acted reunion between a reformed man and his wife that only
underlines Moodysson's versatility.
