Sex
and the City (2008)
Both new acquanitances and old fans will be disappointed with this big screen adaptation of the famed tv-series. The main problem seems to be that the creators has very little more or new to say about these four New York women, and their antics seem increasingly shallow and irrelevant for normal working class people. Add to that a far too generous editing, which clocks this largely directionless film in at 148 minutes, and you've got plenty of time to get annoyed by embroidered reactions and overdramatic outbursts. Unless you're constructed the same way, you will find Sex and the City a superficial and banal film cursed with an abundance of poorly executed melodramatic scenes and segments.
