Review
Time-typical Norwegian social
realism, discussing themes such as relationships, addiction, and the
significance of music for young adults with a particular pretentious
phoniness. The film has some valid observations on contemporary urban
life, but the story's nucleus – the relationship between Nils (Nils
Sletta) and Elin (Sigrid Huun) – never transcends its corny
conversations, contrived conflicts, and below-par acting. The star of
the show here is Helge Jordal, who gives his supporting character
Christian a vivacity beyond Hans Lindgren's stilted script.
