Albert Fish: In
Sin He Found Salvation (2007)
John Borowski goes camply over the top in imagery and interpretation in this documentary on Albert Fish, one of the most notorious serial killers in American history. The result is an often tasteless and dwelling film which seems to replace shortage in actual footage and material with overblown allegories and testimonies which seem to have made Borowski's imagination run amok. A lot of the liberties taken in this film are probably down to the time which has passed since these events, but in my opinion, that doesn't excuse the bad taste with which this is conducted. And for a serious documentary, two experts' opinions is far too lean to evoke dependability.
